Advocacy for Victims of Violence includes:Human Trafficking– Domestic Violence – Sexual Assault
Initial training requires two in-person, three-hour sessions. Contact us for availability in our next training workshop. Pre-registration is required. Cost is $40. Our next new advocate training will be Thursdays, May 16 and May 23 from 6pm - 9pm located at W4051 Cty Hwy NN, Elkhorn WI (the old Walworth County Health & Human Services Building) You can download the application here. Fill it out, scan it and email it to [email protected]. Pre-registration is required. Please email confirmation that you are intending to participate so we have a CARE Team manual ready for you. The CARE Team is a collaboration of agencies and churches to provide help and advocacy for all victims of violence. We provide advocates to Aurora Lakeland Hospital, Elkhorn, WI, Burlington Memorial Hospital, Burlington, WI, Aurora Medical Center, Mt. Pleasant, WI, Aurora Medical Center, Kenosha, WI, the Child Advocacy Center, Elkhorn, WI, and victims incarcerated at the Walworth County Jail, Elkhorn, WI. We provide additional training to continue to build skills monthly at no cost. Please request a volunteer application by emailing [email protected]. Please note that a background check is required. |
