Survivor Headlines Gala on Friday, April 8th in Delavan
 Community education is the focus of Join the Movement's first gala event, which has been rescheduled for Friday, April 8, 2022 at Lake Lawn Resort in Delavan.
 The theme is A Garden Party. Tickets are $75 each and include a cocktail reception, hors d’oeuvres and desserts at 5:30 p.m., followed by a survivor's presentation at 6:30 p.m. April 8th at Lake Lawn Resort, 2400 Geneva St, Delavan. For tickets, go to jtme.org/fundraiser.
 The featured presenter, Theresa Flores, will talk about her experience being a Michigan high school student during the day while being blackmailed into sex trafficking at night. Flores is the author of the book “The Slave Across the Street: The True Story of How an American Teen Survived the World of Human Trafficking”.
 The event will also include a silent auction. Join the Movement would like to thank our generous presenting sponsors: Kunes RV/Auto/Trucks/ Commercial and Lake Lawn Resort.
 As Flores shares her personal story, she engages her audience and educates about the tell-tale signs and personal toll of human trafficking. She talks about how young people are drawn in or tricked into servitude, and what can be done to help those people escape that life.

Learn the Basics to Help Prevent Human Trafficking
 Human trafficking is alive and well in Walworth County, unfortunately, but you can help identify and stop the problem.
 Attend an awareness event at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, February 28th at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 107 W. Walworth St., in Elkhorn. You'll learn the red flags that indicate human trafficking may be present.
 You'll also learn how to help keep children and teens safe on social media. One of the best ways to help kids stay out of harm's way is to have the information and resources.
 The presenter will be Dawn Heath-Fiedler, president and founder of Join the Movement. The event will be in the lower level of the church. There is no cost.

​A Special Service at Mt. Zion to Pray for Victims
 Join the Movement will be a guest Thursday evening, February 23, 2022 at Mt. Zion Christian Church, 2330 Wisconsin Highway 120 in Lake Geneva. The service starts at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome.
